I don’t know if I have mentioned it here – but I love the Plum series. I discovered them about 7(?!?!) summers ago on a trip with my girlfriends to the Jersey Shore (ohmigod) and just really dig them. They are poorly written, formulaic and goofy but they are perfect beach reading. Over the years the series has lost some of its original charm, but I wouldn’t stop reading any time soon. This one wasn’t her best (I think I skimmed through most of the parts having to do with the actual crime – she is a bounty hunter), but I did like it. I hope that she continues to maintain continuity in future books, but she really has to do something to shake it up. This one kind of felt like an echo.
